About Us
Karate Fun Ltd opened for business in 2012.
Our aim is to encourage children, young people and adults of all ages and abilities to become more physically active and to improve their mental, emotional and physical well-being through the martial art / sport of Karate using a variety of new, exciting and fun products and services.
The word 'karate' means 'empty hand'. It is a fighting art of Japanese origin which uses no weapons. It is an exciting and dynamic martial art which is recognised both as a sport and an effective method of self-defence.
Karate is a fun and healthy activity for all ages and abilities; its benefits of participation include:
- Improving general well-being and vitality whilst encouraging self-confidence, assertiveness, concentration, focus and self-respect.
- Promoting self-discipline, courtesy and respect to others.
- Provides an excellent cardiovascular workout, increased flexibility, speed and stamina, enhanced posture and improved muscle strength.
- Helping to prevent being bullied or becoming a bully.
Building upon our existing areas of expertise we are developing and providing a range of physical activity services (i.e. karate coaching, self-defence classes, and fitness classes) and a variety of products aimed at promoting karate as a fun and exciting activity for children, young people and adults alike.
Our services and products are available to martial arts organisations, local authorities, health boards and other interested parties, both nationally and internationally.
